Our log siding runs from about $2.00 a SQ FT and up. So It's really not to bad.

While log siding is a good upgrade there are serious considerations. Window & door jams [if not entire windows] will need replacing. Upgrades to your structure may be needed. Installation is not a casual weekend project! All but 2 U.S. companies make siding that will not shrinke and require extensive caulking. Siding has a tendency to crack. Done right, it can be nice. When building new, it's smarter to do full log. Bob

Hi Bob,
The siding is kiln dried so it doesn't crack or shrink, so caulking is minimal, especially comaperd to a full log home. Theres is nothing special that needs to be done to the windows. You have conventional building methods like: electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work as well as insulation. You don't have to worry about the home cracking, or settling like a full log home. You have the beauty of a full log home without the hassels of building or maintaining a full log home.
