@arif999ist No sir the punishment for bashing king is not what you said. Please google and see:- American citizen Lerpong Wichaikhammat, aka Joe Gordon, gets a 30-month sentence for insulting Thailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

@ali32yobo That is not him- that is Sharia law sir- actively practised in Yemen, Sudan, Saudi, Maldives, Afganistan, Libya,Iran, Pakistan( through a different mechanism)- Toheen e rasool

Yufuf Islam is the darkside of Cat Stevens. Cat Stvens is sweet, inteligent, sensibel, has an extraordinary talent, a very good person, ideed. Yusuf is an idiot, dangerous, radical, seek and not a human being. His a factoid actually!
Resume: Yusuf/Cat Steves don´t exist...the real person inside is bipolar....he is a medical case....serious!

@nassreen82 Islam is a peaceful religion remember my friend (or so you cnstantly tell us non-believers!)

Good job Yusef! Salam Rushdee is a hypocrite kafir

@Arikael n that means: ur freedom is bullshit. sorry to say.. uthopia only. they are the same two cases: rushdie is considered to commit crime for publishing hate in his novel, while holocaust basher considered to commit crime for questioning it. it is not dead, indeed, but it is a crime. means: talking freedom here is irrelevant. and oh BTW, armenia issue is now unquestioned too in some europan countries. :)

I am strongly against death penalty. So if my govt (in my country there is no death penalty) would sentence somebody to death I would never agree, especially if it would be because of a book... Agreeing with killing somebody because of a book is just despicable.
You are right (this is, especially in germany, a historic "issue"), but you don't get sentenced to death for it.

@Arikael did this guy named cat steven even try to kill salman? NOPE. it is like saying that u would send me to death if the govt order u to do so. n yeah, BTW questioning holocaust is definitely a crime in some european country. freedom? I don't think so..
-
yes that is exactly what freedom of speech is.
Or how Voltaire said it: I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.
I strongly disapprove with what some people say, but I would never try to kill them.

@Abz90L He believes that in Islamic state one has the right to murder a novelist for the crime of writing. He's not simply an idiot, he's a piece of shit...
Cat Stevens is obviously on the longest acid trip in history - it started in 1977...

@arif999ist Excuse me, but Mr. Rushdie wasn't in Iran when he wrote his book, so the Ayatollah sough fit to order him to death. I don't care what you culture or religion says, if you are contemplating killing someone for words alone, you are not living in the 21st century.
