The first of several videos taken from The Allman Brothers Band's set on April 14th, 2006 at the Wanee Festival in Live Oak, Fl. My friend Wes captured the whole set with a handheld Hi-8 video camera. They opened up with "Don't Want You No More" followed by "It's Not My Cross To Bear".

  • Thanks for the vid jcrow. Do have footage of their cover of "Anyday"? It's from the same weekend, but I wouldn't be able to say which day.

  • It's Part 5. Thanks for the comment!

  • Sorry bros, but this is inferior...compared to the original. As good as the replacements are - it's just not the same w/o Duane, Dickie, and JJJ!

  • It's not the same, no- but I think it's the best lineup since the original. Did you watch more than just part one?

  • I get a kick out of all these "opinions".... It's always the guys that have the attitude of this one is better than that one probably DON'T PLAY at all..

anyone with a true love of musicianship just listens, enjoys, and keeps the music Alive by not being so damn judgemental. My 2 cents..

  • When they talk about Great American bands they have to include The Allman Brothers!

  • Great sound on the recent show vids. Thanks for posting.

  • I almost don't know which sounds better: Derek's slide or Oteil's playing.

  • sheesh...Trucks made me nearly faint.

  • @CEBREESE Yes, my response is a liiittle tardy, but .. I beg to differ: Warren and Derek are 2 of the world's finest guitarists, and frankly, sorry I do believe Dicky and Duane, though great guitarists, are no match for these 2 guys. Dick and Duane have the 'advantage' of being among the living no more, and dead artists are always considered superior because of their legacy. Heck, Elvis made more money dead than alive. Just my point of view, take no offense. ABB = Fantastic band, all these years

  • Simply Great.... Duane and DIckey were original and wrote the songs but these guy's are better musicians .... Thanks Crow

  • The sound quality on this is amazing.

  • People Come on!! I hear this Duane Allman arguement all the Time!! you're right they they should just stop....stop makeing this amaizing music, keeping the spirit alive, stop touring, and giving us the chance to see the INCREDIBLE musicians playing some of the BEST MUSIC EVER MADE.... Although he is my favorite guitarist, duanes dead man. and they are keeping his spirit ALIVE through his music..CAN"T ANYONE be Happy!!! ENJOY it MAN!!!

  • nice organ

  • nice live version

  • I understand the nostalgia and wanting to remember Duane and all that, but the present duo is better than Duane and Dickey ever were. I love the originals too, but these guys transcend that. Especially Derek. He really is a genius. The best rock guitarist I have ever heard. Better than Duane or Clapton or Hendrix or anyone.
