This Macek, whoever he is, has not only embarrased himself, he has embarrased the Czech Republic. I don't care what the other guy has done, this is not acceptable behaviour even for schooboys.

Lately, court decided that Macek have to apologize to Rath and pay him 100 000 CZK ( about $5000 )

Macek slapped Rath, because Rath spreaded rumors, that Macek's married hir wife only for her money.
Macek was deputy prime minister of Czechoslovakia in early nineties, this incident happened in 2006.
Fact is that Rath is very unpleasant person :)
