This is a process documentary that I did with my partner Jon for our Film Styles Production class at UNT.

Here's the deal: we were to document a process and edit it to under four minutes. My partner made connections with the crew at the Denton Tattoo Company in Denton, Texas. We shot three people getting tattoos, but we used the last one, since the the first two girls we shot were very talkative and left us with so much unusable audio (also, the footage got progressively better).

Also, if the documentary seems kinda choppy, it's because it is. This one took a full Mini DV tape to film, and we had to edit it to under four minutes. Also, we were left with a lot of redundant footage.

Thanks to the cool-ass crew at the Denton Tattoo Company for being so cooperative!

  • I'm not too prone to pain, but will a full cherry blossom tree on my ribcage/side hurt?

  • @PaolaIsLovely I would think so, but then again I've never gotten a tattoo so I wouldn't know.

  • The worst bit about gettin inked is when they spray the disinfectant, it so cold!

  • The tattoist is well hot

  • More bone the more pain...So yes there will be pain!

  • What a cool video! I really liked the tattoo as well!

  • @PaolaIsLovely no friecken dip it would hurt! it's a tattoo!

  • how much was the cross tattoo?

  • @PaolaIsLovely Tattoos always hurt no matter where you get them. It depends on your level of pain tolerability and also everyone's nerves are a little different. I've had a tattoo on my elbow and was told it would be excrusiating pain, but as it turns out, yea it hurt, but it was completely managable. If you really want the tattoo, remember pain is worth the gain, if it's what you really want. Grin and bear it!

  • @breadmeister What a useful reply xD

    Yes it will hurt!

  • yes because the skin is thinner and it will hurt
