Nice to hear. I've played this mission many times and after a while you learn about how it can be most easily done. And, yes, the car helps a lot. :-)

Did you use the Infernus car, as shown in the video? That certainly saves a lot of time.
Also make sure you use a very fast car to get to the mall, or maybe use a helicopter if you can find one, since the clock starts ticking from the beginning of the mission.
Having full health + armor + weapons at the start helps too, of course.
Another thing that you may want is the ability to run forever, which is given by completing the Paramedic mission.
