I use hot water towards the end to speed up the last bit of felting. It isn't necessary; if I'm felting while watching a movie, the water in my squeeze bottle is u usually cold, and it doesn't seem to matter that much. If hot water is handy, I prefer it, but that is more abut my comfort.
No need to rinse. Just pat dry on a towel and let it sit for 6 hours.
@transitionista When the felt is taut around the soap it is finished. If you can still pinch or suqeeze some felt between your fingers, then you need to work it a little longer.
