  • playing the guitar looks like learning to type.

  • @BubzisEpic

Keep practicing man. Don't worry too much about keeping your hands together as that comes naturally eventually. The dude is absolutely correct about the muscle memory thing and keeping the guitar out to play at all times.

A good exercise for you would to be to transition between all the chords in the Animals song "House of the Rising Sun". The chords are Am, C, D, F Am, E, Am, E. Don't worry about playing the notes individually. I bet you'll get it in a week. :)

  • what's the difference btween playing the G chord with the 1st n 2nd string of the 3rd fret pressed and with only the 1st string of 3rd fret pressed? diff people seems to use diff way..but the sound is also diff..help anyone?

  • Very Helpful.

  • @xkillxmyxhoxgrandmax In ways, it is. Muscle memory applies to typing as much as to guitar; the more you do it, the better you get and the less you have to look down.

  • Great vid, Rock On! Good info on the five minute sessions, too! I just started doing some lesson video's myself. Your demeaner and quick info pattern are something I will borrow. Nice.

  • Great...thanks fr th help sir...:))..I can breathe easy now...

  • I bought at guitar last night, and i was told to practice "simple man" cuz it has three chords.....and I can KIND OF do those chords (i guess I have fat fingers)....but to play the chords together (1, 2, 3, 4, ) I have to keep stopping lol
