This is a Multi-Touch Screen using a Wii Remote and an InfraRed LED Light Pen. The idea is from Johnny Chung Lee's Wii projects page and I just wanted to see if I could make one. :)

The link to Johnny Chung Lee's WiiMote projects page is here:

  • Cool!

  • @builderbearlover33 Thanks =)

  • hey good job !! i have a question i wanto make a drawing tablet becouse i do graphic design but i dont have a camara or in onother case a wii control like other projects but i do have a :eHome Infrared Transceiver with its remot control can i use my reciever to recieve my remote control signal but converted in a pen? instead of using a wii or a led pen? have you tryed the wii project? please help !!

  • @betuna75 Don't think it would be that easy to incorporate the eHome unit into multitouch applications. You would need to play with a lot of software to get this to work... The wiimote is still the easiest and cheapest option.

  • Hi I'm just wondering, is there a way to do this from a distance, like with a laser instead?

  • Yeah sure as long as the Wiimote can see the pointer. I have tested an IR Laser module with success...

  • @MustafaVideocast Please see the link in the video description to Johnny's page. All the software you need is there.

  • does it work on a TV

  • Awesome video! I might try and make something like this in the holidays when I have time. One thing I want to know though. Do I need to have a wii remote somewhere across the screen so it has to see? where exactly do I put the wii remote? Also, what does the pen do? Does it shine the infra red light onto the screen and reflect into the wii remote's camera? Cheers
