what is the universal pan tile made of?
i would think the polyfoam would'nt last as long as the traditional "nail" down and how does your system fair in the cold midwest?

It looks very labour intensive ? fiddley ? I can't see this saving people money ? How does it fair for cyclone ratings ? I wouldn't think it would hold at all ? I hope I am wrong here but it looks very flimsy ? sorry not to offend

@GrimSchwede This video was before we even had product, since then we have progressed. Check out other videos from ARTEZANOS1 or TIPV

... no matter which variant... it looks unfinished ..

@nonassumsit This is Miami Dade County Approved for the Hurricane High Velocity Wind Zone. It currently has the highest wind uplift rating in the industry. The video is only to show utility, aesthetics are very different. The material in the video was over 2 years ago and was prototype. We now have many installations with different looks.

good luck in strong winds, and looks like crap.

I'm not impressed.

@1402janelle In our Tile integrated installation, the solar is approx. $5.00 per watt and the roofing part $6.00 per sqft including demolition of the old roof, new underlayment ect....... Individuals in less restictive code areas can do the Solar at $3.00 per watt and the roof part at $3.50 per sqft. My 19 year old son did one of the roofs in Miami Beach, Florida with no prior construction experience. The roof is very basic but looks authentic!
This system has been designated by the Miami Dade Board of Rules and Appeals as a HYBRID GREEN ROOF SYSTEM. The System has been Miami Dade County Product Approved since last year. The Board voted in favor of this system to be used as a recover over existing shingles, new roofing construction and re-roofing with a mechanically fastened REX -SYNFELT.

camboz1, For your information, the Polyfoam product in the video has been tested & approved for Hurricane High Wind Velocity Zones for the last 17 years. F.E.M.A. recommends its use in coastal areas. This is the preferred method of applying roof tiles here in the State of Florida. Our approval is from 2/12 to 7/12. Most homes here are 3/12 to 5/12 pitch and are not as steep as what you are probably used to in the U.K.
