charlotte likes sweets when she is still a normal person but when she was hospitalized, she cannot eat her favorite dessert, cheese, so when kyubey appeared to her and charlotte made a contract with it, and she wished that she will recoverd to her illness in an instant, and then after that, she fought and fought until she died, she became a witch, and then when mami apeared, she wants to have a tea party with mami until charlotte saw a yellow thing, she thought it was her favorite cheese,

@Donqco They have it in the production notes that Charlotte wanted to wish away her and her mother's cancer, but thought that Kyubey couldn't grant such a remarkable wish. so instead she wished to have her favorite dessert with her mother before she died. After her mother's death, Kyubey asked Charlotte why she didn't wish for a cure. The grief from realizing she constrained her imagination when it came to her chance to wish for anything is what turned her into the witch of sweets.

@Donqco That's cool :O and a great interpretation of how Charlette could've became a witch and magic girl. But what if she was in the hospital for something else like an eating disorder. Maybe that's why there were sweats and it was hospital themed. The catipillar-like form of her could be a representation of how her eating disorder never ended, or how she kept eating, or even how she saw herself when she look in the mirror - ugly and moridly obese.

Instead, she merely gets sweets and a remarkable recovery the reason for her double form would then be because the guilt was eating away at her, and even though she looked like an innocent girl, she felt like she was a selfish monster.

Charlotte might have another true body separately and be immortal without its destruction

If the cancer patient theory is true, then there's the possibility that she wished to be able to eat sweets without consequence this wish would likely cure her.

She would then have to live with the fact that she wished for something so selfish, though, and this fact could be why she turned into a witch, if she had wished for something like "I wish cancer didn't exist" she could've saved tons of people.
