I loved this show. CBC used to run it on Saturday nights. Used to stay up to watch it. I knew the names of Thatcher's cabinet better than I knew the names of Mulroney's. :)

bonearrowgroup, you wouldn't have the sketch they did about Birminghan's bid for the Olympics would you ? I remember it going on nearly half the show and it had my sides aching for ages, the pitch from Birmingham had a back drop film with an idiot carrying a Olympic torch around Birmingham ( he calmly describes how we to also have a Bullring, but our's is twice as dangerous!!) set in the sixties which held no sway with 'all Spanish' board of judges who awarded it to Barcalona! Classic!

Yes I recorded them at the time of transmission in 1986. I think I've most of the early series anyway..
