  • Btw mariner, mercury and torpedo 3.3's are all the same with differnt covers

  • @xanbrowne I use 1:50 at it always runs perfectly. It starts on the 3rd pull after a long cold winter and it goes very fast in my 2.5m rib.

  • hi i have the same motor. use 50:1 it works great with that. so after you put the fuel in turn the gas valve off then pull the starter cord until it starts. for me it took 5 to 10 min. when it starts turn the gas on then drive or whatever, but when you are done before you turn off the engine turn the gas valve off and let the engine sit until it turns off or you can gas it until it turns off. if you do this the next time you start it you can turn on the gas when you start it.reply what happens

  • I have that outboard and it is a very nice motor! It is not too noisy or smokey. It doesnt use too much fuel and it is very light (18KG).I had some problems when I got mine though. It come with my boat and I had to change the carb (all of it), sparkplug, redo the electrics, the pull start recoil (the hole system), fuel lines and clean inner housing of the motor (where the piston sits)! Too much work... But now it runns like a charm! Its better than new!

  • @xanbrowne it will work on both but i always run it on 1:50. if it does not fire at all then you may have a blockage in the fuel line or the float in the carb has got stuck with dry 2 stroke oil this is the main problem i had with the outboard after winter storage. if you are still stuck send me an email i have a few test you can do to find out what is wrong (simple tests).

  • @aljisonline ether that it needs a new impeller or its blocked
