Austin Keen Skimboarding In Japan

Check out this video from Austin Keen's recent trip to Japan for the M-1 Skimboard Festival. Austin skims like a boss on his MS Hybrid Shape Exile Skimboard and is one of our favorites this year to win the UST tour.

In addition to all that, he is one of the nicest most down to earth guys you will find anywhere.

@ExileSkimboards haha no but he is half decent, the point i was making is that you see alot of guys using the same method to get on the board and I wasn't sure if that's what you guys prefered on your team or what the judges do in contests.

@shockdude04 yeah, its called that or a monkey crawl. It can be helpful doing deep water drops. Can help you get further out. In other situations it is a detriment though...

You see how Austin Keen drops his board sometimes? He bends forward and looks like he places it down instead of dropping it, why does he do that? Is it helpful in certain conditions? Someone told me it was called the gorilla drop. Any help?
