Zenyatta wins the 2010 Vanity Handicap!

Finally, the video of the race itself. Lugging 129 pounds, Zenyatta gets up in the final strides to nail a very game St. Trinians at the wire by half a length, after sitting back 12 lengths and getting fanned out 5 or 6 wide on the turn.

Zenyatta: Undefeated, 17 for 17!

The crowd goes wild as Zenyatta surges to the lead, and gives her a standing ovation when she returns to the grandstand.

Warning--this gets loud at the end! I apologize for my girlish screaming, but hey, it was an exciting race.

Yes, I could not contain myself! Jumped right up in the air! And then right after she hit the wire in front, my hands started shaking badly. Add to that, the camera was zoomed in a bit, so that makes the wobbliness worse. What a great race, and great mare. Glad you liked the video,

1st time watched this video. Wow. What a rush that must have been, to be present, physically watching such a spectacle. Actually seeing Zenyatta race. The roar of the crowds. It's been many years since the fans of Hastings Park gave anything like this thunderous applause. thank you.

Cool! I guess we weren't the only ones that A] Could no longer actually hear Vic's call as the race went on and B] suffered from a bit of excited shaky camera work at the finish line! So exciting!
