  • What about access and/or linking to Outlook contacts? That way the contact information stays on your own computer and not in the "cloud" at Google. And we could then use our Blackberry contacts to populate Sage Act 2012. Connectivity with Outlook has been a problem with Act! in the past.

  • Hello and thank you for tuning in to the Sage ACT! channel. In ACT! 2011, we added the ability to sync Outlook contacts and activities.

  • Act suck now. Spreading all our contacts to Facebook which is already a mossad dissident tracking and sabatoge tool

  • does it also sync any attachments that are connected with outlook contacts? is there a text limited with act when syncing outlook contacts? if you dont want cloud services, is there an enterprise version only avaialable?

  • Follow on to previous post - If you are already using Gmail as a communications means with customers, then synchronizing contact data is really no more of an information exposure to the Google services. Again - with any service it behooves you to understand the service providers information policies and act accordingly. With Sage ACT! 2012 an administrator user can dictate what (if any) contacts other Sage ACT! users can sync to Google.

  • There's always a balance between access and privacy when using online services. Google publishes it's privacy policies related to Gmail and contacts, and I suggest anyone concerned about storing this data in Google certainly familiarize themselves with these policies. That being said quite a few Sage ACT! customers actively want to use the services provided by Google and accept the information security policies provided via these services by Google. In general this isn't a security concern.

  • I'm concerned about privacy. Why would ACT want access through Google to email contacts? Already facebook and Linkedin are trying to get personal lists. Not what your customer wants. Efficiency, clean, organized access to owner's information is expected. Lists still have to be printed to be used. Is ACT sharing customer's contact list with Google?
