what the fuck are you people talking about?!??!?? how does this clear things up bigirishgnigerballs??? how does it not let u sleep at night wtf its just a triangle changing colors!! can someone please fucking explani to me how to quantum jump

QM postulates an instantaneous quantum jump. Some believers in QM take a somewhat different position, namely, that QM says nothing about transition times. Anyhow, 'slowed down' from undefined or zero time makes no sense.
In realism (theoretical origin of video) emission time for a photon (=electromagnetic soliton) of wavelenght L is L/c. Hence for wavelenght 570 nm time is aprox. 1.9x10^-15 s. For a 2 sec video with absorption/emission this means a slowdown factor of 10^15.

wow after seeing this i can sleep at night again

Electrons dance around in atoms and Quantum Mechanics provides a reasonable description of their stops (=stationary states). But QM got the movements of electrons **totally wrong**, that is, the Schrödinger evolution equation is a complete mistake. That was seen by Schrödinger himself, but others invented random jumps as an explanation of how electrons pass from one motionless state to another.
Quantum absurdities will be rejected but it will take some time.
Have a restful sleep,
Daniel.

Daniel McKenna,
It seems you have been haunted --perhaps tormented--by the dice trowing metaphors that dominate the description of the small scale world. After all it is about our own small scale nature. If the short animations can point to some relief, my purpose is served and I am most pleased.

thanks this has really cleared things up for me

Dear bigirishgingerballs,
Beware that according to Quantism the continuous evolution from one stationary wave to another *does not* happen. This forces the undeterministic jumps and lies at the root of all the difficulties of all variants of Quantum Theory.
To obtain continuous evolution --as shown in the animation-- you must discard Schrodinger unitary evolution equation and replace it with a non-linear equation, still closely related to Schroedinger self adjoint operator.
