Actually most countertenors are the male equivalent of contraltos. A true male soprano is very rare, and as hard as it sounds like he's trying for that note, I'd say Chris isn't a soprano. Not that I'm hating. I think he's amazing. And as a contralto myself I'm very impressed that he can go that high --- I know I can't hit that note.

@dublingal99 You forget that this was IMPROMPTU.
Do you have any idea how hard hitting those notes are?
It takes an insane amount of warm up time, time that he did not have. It's amazing he could hit them at all without it! That just shows how large his range is, to be able to hit that without warming up. It means that he can hit HIGHER when he has!
Next time please try to inform yourself on the workings of the voice before you make stupid comments, alright? c:
