This is a paper horse I built from plans and a kit I ordered from www.clockworkrobot.com

When I built it I likely made a few mistakes. As it is, it still functions smoothly so it's a fairly robust design. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get any ridges into the crankshaft so my pinion gear is slipping. I'll have to take it apart and fix it but I wanted to show the smooth movement of this little beauty.

It was fun to put together and I think I could watch it move all day.

looks good. I think you may have made the crank shaft a tiny bit on the large side as reducing it will reduce that snagging you're getting every half turn. That's caused by the legs kicking out a tiny bit further than they should and stress on the joints as a result.

I wondered how long it'd take people to put the horse together. I'm impressed you did it in one go!

Yah, the feet on the right side touch. They did that after I ripped a leg off to fix an alignment issue and had to make a new hinge out of a scrap piece of paper. Before I did that adjustment, they didn't touch.
