xerxes and ester "fall into your sunlight'

this was my entry for the over/under contest in which we had to take a over used song and an underused couple. Well this is what i came up with.

first of all the song shattered by trading yesterday is one of the most overused songs on youtube...i mean i myself have used it 3 times now lol.

the movie is one night with the king and has anyone heard of it beside me? judging from the number of videos it has one youtube...like 3 im guessing not. becasue no one has seen this incredibly romantic and inspiring movie im going to give you a bit of the story line so that your not completly lost in the video

Movie summary:
xerxes is king of persia and ester is a jewish peasent. the king brings all of the young maidens in from his land to pick one to be his wife and he and ester fall in love very quickly and are married. she however has not revealed to him that she is a jew because in persia they are treated like slaves. one day ester meets her uncle in secret by the "lovers gate" and when xerxes see's her with a stranger there he can only assume the worst and because ester does not want to reveal that she is jewish she can not tell him the truth. anyway the bad man of the story becomes second in command and conviences the king to kill all jews and take their property to fund a war. now ester must deside to go before the king in cort (which is automatic death) or to let her people die. dum dum dum i will not tell you the end although my video does a pretty good job of giving it away.

* i've made a little challenge with myself that from now on i will try a new effect in every video so i dont get sloppy. in this one i tried doing some of the lyrics in the video so if you have any comments or criticism about that i would love to hear it.

....during Cyrus's time, there came the news that in Babylon(=Irak), there are 40000 jews(=men, women and children) who also claim that there is ONE GOD, but they live in Captivity and the ruler of Babylon is very Cruel to them. So, Cyrus the Great decided to go down to Babylon and Free the Jews and made sure Jews could go back to Israel. Some Jews decided to go to Persia.

The Romans later on were very Cruel to Jews.

In the ancient world, alot of people used to believe in different kinds of GODs. For Example: today they believed in the Sun, tomorrow in the Moon, the next day in a Fire, in a Tree, in Stars, Falling Stars and so on. We Persians used to say, If there is a God, then there is ONE GOD, otherwise nothing. We dont want to believe every day in a new God, so our relegious scholars said, No there is a God, but ONE GOD.

I love this movie, as a christian i believe Queen Esther was faced with a dilema as christians do in life. But her fasting paid off when she found favour with the King. I love the part when she said that she was a daughter of the tribe of Benjamin and the child of the most high god. In other words she was saying to the devil (Haman) her positon of authority in the physical and spiritual realm. You can see real warfare going on here. Oustanding in did.

The images and the song blend perfect with each other. Beautiful! Luke Goss as King Xerxes is just beyond amazing.
