hello. i have been observing a friend blow glass for some time now and i think i will get to begin sometime soon. i am familiar with a lot of the terminology being used, but i have only been observing, and he does largely highly advanced things (he's been at it for 12 years now.) i'm wondering where the best place to start in your tutorial videos is, just so i can begin to get a handle on what beginner things to practice. you seem very thorough in your presentation. thank you very much

@cdub42 I have a series of videos on YouTube called Basic Flameworking Skills. I would work through them in order of first to last. Then practice, practice, practice :-)

What tip are you using? Also what tip wuld you recomend for small to medium sculpture with boro?

I'm using a #3 OXY tip in this video and it will do fine for small work. Medium sized work you will want one of the multi-port tips I show. You can find a selection of tips online from most anyone who sells the National 3-A hand torch.

Do you have to put that piece in the kiln now or is it ok just cooling like that?

It went into the kiln but not immediately. Smaller pieces can be batch annealed. All flameworked glass needs to be annealed.
