NOW AVAILABLE ON CD THROUGH ALMACANTAR RECORDS.
With the talented writing of Chris Doheny, Melbourne's Geisha released many great songs over a 3 year period but never got the real success and recognition they deserved.
This was their 4th single, released in August 1986. It reached No.3 in Melbourne, No.31 in Sydney and No.24 nationally, thus becoming their biggest hit in Australia.

  • Are you looking for this song on DVD/Video or on CD. It is certainly hard to find as a video clip but Chris Doheny has re-released all of Geisha's back catalogue on CD through Almacantar Records. You can get to Almacantar Records through a link on my YouTube home page.

  • Still one of my top 10 all-time favourite songs ever ... seems like only yesterday I saw them at the Bruce Stadium in Canberra even though it was more like almost 25 years ago LOL!

  • This is the best song they had

  • Look up SEXY in the dictionary and you will see Chris Doheny! Great that they have reformed, but nothing beats Ken Sheppard on guitar.

  • I remember that when i first saw this song on TV it took me a while to get used to the new Geisha band, as i began loving them when they were a 5 piece, but nevertheless, i still loved them as a 3 piece. Chris Doheny was still there, and It wouldn't have been the same without him. He is the essence of Geisha. Another great song.

  • Guido Hatsis favourite band--YEAH MATE

  • he did a brilliant for daryl braithwaite's "edge".

  • Chris Doheny is my sisters boyfriend, their daughter is my niece :D

  • I also have this song on a 12" single which includes another great track 'Girl Like You'. A mate of mine (Ian Bull) was the original drummer for the band when they were called Geisha Detail. Saw them play at the Pier Hotel in Frankston.

  • I can't believe I actually found this video, I only searched last week, but found nothing..... I loved this song for years, but was only young at the time, and remembered the band was called Geisha and they were Australian, but nothing else. I searched and searched, and came across a cassette years later.... I can't believe I found them again.... Thankyou for this :-) and Thanks to Countdown from where I got all my music from, living in the outback. Hayley 36yrs (now)

  • Just came back from our Christmas staff party. Guess who was providing the tunes? Chris Doheny - no less. His voice is amazing. Still got it. Thanks aussie80s for posting this. Great memories. And, yes, why don't they play this on Gold FM. It's a scandal.
