The Afghan military took possession of three MI 35 "Flying Tank" attack helicopters.

  • The helos used in Air cav role like the 1st cav in veitnam makes sense any movment by land and you have numerous ieds in the road. I am guessing hinds were chosen because there easyer to maintain than apaches or cobras and im sure they got them much cheaper former warsaw pact nations have alot of weapons but need cash of the economy. the soviet weapons might not be the newest designs but the soviets built all there stuff rugged like a farm tractor

  • Now don't get me wrong, i fully support the Americans, but still.... Using Hinds against the Afghans, I seem to remember someone else trying that in the not too distant past.....
