  • Watch Shell Youtube video: " Carbon capture and storage: A bridge to a low-carbon future " and tell me what the left-over "stuff" is after they filter out the CO2?

  • @H0SS I think this was just a debate to see what the truth is. I was hoping you would question Cap and Trade and CO2 storage. I will add that if you are still on the other side, it definitely has more funding, so it follows your side will have more peer reviewed research. Thanks for the debate. I don't buy into CO2 as the enemy and CO2 storage as the solution. I would rather see less toxic/carcinogenic pollution.

  • @austinallenfin Since this has become a "my side" versus "your side" thing, what does your side have to offer? "My side" has peer reviewed research papers from universities all over the place. "Your side" has a bunch of random guys saying "no, you're all wrong, I'm right because I think differently."

  • @austinallenfin As for funding, I can't speak for all of them, but I can tell you that many of them receive funding from the National Science Foundation and the US Department of Energy, among others. Perhaps the researchers at politically linked institutions have been driven out or reprimanded for having dissenting opinions, but those at respectable research universities have not (to my knowledge).

  • @H0SS I would also ask where their funding comes from and if they would be driven out of the profession if they went against the "buzz"

  • @austinallenfin I respond with "all the science is on my side", but it really is. Go to any respectable research university and ask their physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering departments what they think about man-made climate change, and I assure you that the majority response will be that there is no question that the emission of greenhouse gases has contributed to climate change.

  • @H0SS And please don't respond with "all the science is on my side", because it is not. science; it is "buzz" propagated by the oil companies to profit off carbon trading.

  • @H0SS The side I am taking is far from being influenced by "buzz" word. In fact, the side you are taking has all the "buzz" supporting it.

  • @austinallenfin The video also specifically mentions that CO2 doesn't affect climate change, which is what I'm disagreeing with. Anything is possible, but it's unlikely that what I know about climate change is absolutely wrong. Also, industrial pollutants are indeed regulated. People do exist that deal with them. The media doesn't highlight any of their work, so most people don't know about it. All the general population knows is buzz words and hot topics that are explained in very small detail.

  • @H0SS The video specifically mentions Cap and Trade. Is it possible that what you think you know about CO2 and global warming is wrong? I think it is very bizarre that a clean industrial waste like CO2 is being indicated while other industrial pollutants like SOx, NOx, VOCs, lead, mercury and many other toxic and carcinogenic pollutants are not being addressed. CO2 is the only clean and beneficial industrial pollutant and that is what the oil companies want to cap and trade? Very bizarre.
