This is a user friendly GUI way of getting captions and subtitles on your videos. This doesn't show all the steps (like saving and putting it on youtube itself, I might show that eventually)

Sorry for the terrible video quality, Camstudio has major video compression, but on the plus side, that 1920 x 1080 video was under 3MB and finished uploading before I even had a chance to type much. I will use it for desktop demos in the future, for sure.

This was done in part for user CarlSagan93 who asked how to use it. The video ( http://youtube.com/watch?v=meCIER_s7Ng) from user Rewboss explains how to add caption files to youtube in an very enjoyable (Re: Funny) way.

  • can you do AUTOMATIC SYNC?? its hard to sync one by one... thanks to reply

  • @ChongDinHok If you mean shifting the sync by X amount of time, maybe, I dunno though (it'd be nice if it does). if you mean "it does all the syncing for you", definitely not. If you're playing video in certain media players, you can delay/speed the subtitles by pressing certain buttons. F1 and F2 (Sooner/later) for Media Player Classic.

  • im sorry, for all these questions but is there a way to make it smaller?

and, when you press enter, it has the line thing, is there a possible way to take that away?

anyways, im sorry for all these questions

  • Those | shapes don't appear on the exported SUB file. It's annoying that they appear in the video preview of Subtitle Workshop, but when you load them on a sub, they work as line breaks, so things will appear as you intend.

About the sizes, you can only change the basic formatting that I can tell (bold, italic, underline), but on the program you load it on (such as WMP Classic) you can change the style there, including the font and font size.

  • oh yea, wat version is this?

  • ??? I have Subtitle Workshop 4, Version 4.0.

    For WIndows.

  • hm, okay thanks

  • File dropdown, and 'save as'. Pick one of the 'save as types', and type in a file name.

.SUB, and .SRT are the most common sub files though.

  • uhhmm, how do u save it?
