layo Jimenez tuning playing the Valdez jumbo bajo

This is Layo tuning the Valdez jumbo bajo. We just finished the bajo and this is a clip of some of the first sound and music played on the bajo after constructio was done. I had just spent about 30 minutes puting the strings on the bajo when my dad showed up. I asked him to tune it up for the first time that always makes me nervous.

I know what this instrument is we built it. We built it for a customer whos last name is Valdez, that is why we call it the Valdez jumbo. This is a jumbo size bajo we also make a standard size that has a bit smaller size sound box.

Yes, we are just starting to put our logo on the head stock. At the time that Mr. Valdez ordered his we were still not doing this and he requested his name be inlayed on the head stock. But yes the Valdez jumbo is built by us, the Jimenez family. Thank you for asking. Jaime Jimenez

oiga don un favorsote podria dar una explicacion como se afina el bajo sexto lo q pasa es q tengo uno y no se como afinarlo se afinar guitarra y ya ve q para la guitarra bueno yo empiezo de abajo hacia arriba y ajusto la primera cuerda y la segunda la piso en el trasto 5 y tiene q sonar igual q la primera y asi me siguo con las demas pero el bajo tiene dos juntas y no se como se le haria ayuda por favor gracias
