On Monday, August 10th around 2pm Alise Nicole Sloan at the age of 23 years passed due to extended complications after her heart transplant.
After only being on the heart transplant list for almost two-weeks, we received her call saying with much enthusiasm that Thomas Jefferson Hospital had found her a new heart. Even though that morning she had two-teeth pulled, her excitement was that of a child in a candy store and there was no limit. With just over 3-weeks since the transplant Alise has now started her new life reunited with her mother.
I wanted to personally thank everyone who has kept Alise and her families involved in your thoughts and prayers, as well as the donor's family. They have been answered, not always as we would want them, but nonetheless His answer to a better life.
