Rail action from three locations on the Victorian north east track. The mix is of V/Line Sprinters, Vlocitys and N class hauled passenger cars on Seymour and Shepparton 5'3" gauge with N class hauled passenger trains on the standard gauge Albury services. The freights are on standard gauge with all three being to or from Brisbane. Early in the clip you can see 1BM2 being paralleled by a Sprinter with another parallel pursuit of 2MB7 at the very end.
The clip was rendered at 720p, that being the limit of the G12 which was the second camera being used.

  • What manufacturer builds those freight locomotives in Australia?

  • @EUROTRASHSPAMMER New GE based units are built by UGL Rail. New EMD based units are built by Downer EDI Rail. Older GE's came from Goninans and our old ALCO's from A E Goodwin. Our old EMD's were built by Clyde Engineering., Wiki has a good section on Australian diesel locomotives.

  • Nice locations!

Is the horn on the UP Seymour train a Nathan P5 horn?

  • @kutless22974 honestly, I don't know. They had Leslies when they were rebuilt but could have been changed to Nathans.

  • love the video :Dwhats the average speed for these trains ?

  • @wendyt234 Averages are a bit variable but loco hauled passenger max is 115km/h Sprinter rail cars 130km/h Vlocity rail cars 130 on this line 160 elsewhere freights up to 110km/h depending on the train and what the operator will pay the track manager for. They pay more for speed and priority.
