Had to listen to the video few times and mediated on it.
You pretty much said it regarding racial identity politics.
However, personally, or perhaps it’s just my mindset at the moment, it was difficult to listen to when I thought I was part of a group of people who claimed they had the strategy to empower ‘our people’ but have changed the strategy to include others and at the end sold out to the highest bidder.

Life has become every bit easier to understand as a black man since taking the same attitude as holip as far as I am concerned when you are a black person living among so many different people its ESSENTIAL to discuss racial identity politics, the black people who don't tend to be the ones making excuses for the very people who cause them the most harm aka stockholm syndrome. When this latter analogy takes place I have sympathy for the people who to through it but I will not be joining them.
