From an amazing band, who tended to follow in the shadow of the Beatles, this is a lesser known song, but demonstrates their fantastic songwriting abilities.

  • So grateful to Graham and Alan for initiating this excellent band. The joy filled looks on their faces reflect the way we fans feel about their tunes. The Hollies are GREAT! Peace & Love. to ALL.

  • Truly amazing group...fantastic harmonies...and plus they are all GORGEOUS!!

    Thanks for posting this..

  • One of Allan's best vocal performances - The Hollies are the best band ever !!! Thanks for the share !!!

  • Wonderful!

That sweet voice! Allan is unsurpassed!

  • The releaeased this song in the early 70's - god it makes me feel old. But I still love listening to it after all this time

  • Did not know they did this song. I'm familar with it via Emmylou Harris and Anne Murray's versions (which are also both quite beauitful). Their version is great too. I love the funky guitar riff and their harmonies.

  • I love this song! The songwriter is Chip Taylor who also co-wrote another Hollies classic, I Can't Let Go. They also did a fantastic job of recording Emmylou Harris' Boulder to Birmingham.

  • Their song writing abilities were great, but they don't get credit for writing this one - that goes to Emmy Lou Harris. I do like the Hollies arrangement very much though and lament its absense on a recent box set release.

  • What time did they release this song?

It's different style. Their harmony is fantastic. I may listen for Terry's voice.
