  • Are those 170 gram discs, or do you specific kind of disc?

  • I use dog specific discs............there are 3 major brands on the market: Hero, Hyperflite, and Whamo Fastbacks. The standard models weigh in at about 105-108g. The heaviest dog discs produced by these companies are about 135g. If you want links to them, let me know!

  • Is that black and white dog of yours full bred cattle dog? that's an amazing coat he's got there.

  • Yes, that's Spike - he was a purebred turned into a shelter for killing all the cats and chickens on the farm. He's about 12 yrs old now, and still chasing down frisbees!

  • your dogs are amazing, my sonny passed away recently. he was great at frisbee, i had taught him some of your moves and he was so smart he would look at my face and be reading my mind on what to do or not to do. he was amazing. and he is gone, losing him is the most painfull thing i ever had to deal with. someday pretty soon i hope i am able to recover and get a pup. of course it will be another acd. god bless my son. he was all i had.

  • So sorry to hear of your loss! You have been blessed to have had such a special dog, believe me, not a day goes by when I don't wonder what life will be like when these incredible pups pass on to the next life. I hope time will heal...........

  • @jett888 You hit it on the head. You've got to make good throws. I've just started with our 6 mos old red heeler. We've been doing it for a few weeks and the first thing I learned is that I have to make consistently good tosses. If it's catchable, she'll catch it.

  • i gotta say this is awesome good job

  • I wonder, what weight of the frisbee should I use to my dog? Or doesn't it matter?

I have a Finnish Lapphund, and he's kinda careful and has never chased or catched a frisbee before. Any ideas? :-) Love you vid btw, soo good!!

  • I love your videos, they get me super siked! Our Zoey is a hard playing girl when it comes to discs. Teaching her to chase and catch was no problem,, but I play disc golf and must teach her when NOT to chase them, LOL. She's just a year old now so going to start working more on the jump tricks. It's amazing how quickly they learn. I just put my first video up of a few quick passes we call turn & burn. I try to use this in an attempt to wear her out. Look for more of Zoey coming soon.

  • This just makes me more & more excited because I see the potential that Kallie my ACD has! We are working on beginner stuff now.

  • Excellent!

  • Thats sick!! I wish I had the patience to train my heeler to do these fantastic tricks! 4:24 is sweeT!!
