  • what series was this?

  • @mongoangry BTCS (Belgian Touring Car Series)

  • that sounds so amazing!!! and it looks fine!!!

  • @betekvs Yeah, just too bad this car doesn't race anymore.

You could clearly hear the rotor engine on top of all the others in a race.

  • its a 2 litre motor, thats why they call it a 20b!

  • love the sound of this 3 rotor beast !

  • how much did the mazda and all the racing modifications cost you?

  • Guys you use the term when it is a actually a 13G basically a 13B with an Extra Rotor

  • @MrToffo92 If you live in America, the Grand-Am Rolex Sports-Car series has RX-8's that race. Same size engine as this one.

  • @neXib yes, officially, the S2K is, you can't argue fact. Rotaries are different kinds of engines, so they never count in those sorts of things. And yes, there are good number dynos, and like I said, those guys, have thrown a hell of a lot more then a turbo into one. Whether or not you can pump the horsepower isn't the point, the point is, you dump 10,000$ into an RX8, you get X HP, you dump 10,000 into a S2000 or 350z, and you get XXX HP.

  • @FinalBossWTMN Erm, no it's not, it's engine is at least 2 litres, right? And about 240hp. The RX-8 is 1,3 litre and 232 hp.

That said, I do like the S2000, but it could be prettier, and it's pricey. A turboed MX-5 is a much better option imo.

I've been on RX8club for years and seen plenty of dynos that give good numbers, what you refer to are Americans that think turbo rx-8 can compete with straight line muscle, which it can't :)

  • @neXib it actually loses to the 8 on a lot of tracks. But, most people who are aiming to dump horses into a car, aren't going for a track car, they are drag racing. I got mine because I love the handling, and i have a great sports car without the drawbacks. I have a great sound system, smooth ride, engines quiet when I want it to be, I have 4 seats, heated seats beautiful interior, etc etc, but when I want to get on the car, it's there for me as a sports car.

  • @neXib Funny, because I'm a member of rx8club, and there are hundreds of people, a few more then 4, that say they get very little out of most kits. The S2000 is nearly the same price as the RX8, and just a 4 banger with a wine? It's the most powerful naturally aspirated engine in the world, horsepower to liter wise. Add that in with a very lightweight car (if you get the CR version especially), a turbo'd s2k is a much faster car. Now, on a track, the S2k advantage isn't nearly so much,
