Black Templars project log 1

I will be doing a video project log with these for my black templars. consider this one the first. the actual first one i made was just me throwing stuff together figuring out how to make an easy video. it might seem lame, but i had never put a video on youtube or anything before that. at the same time i dont see any reaosn to take the other one down because this video shows several touch-ups, as well as the additions to my army.




Maybe i will talk some in future updates for the project log, personally i find music more interesting lol.

So, this being the first video in my project log, it shows primarily infantry i had done at the time. My HQs so far: marshal, grimaldus, EC, command squad. my elites: incomplete terminator squad, sword brethren (which i did more for fluff and fun painting than for gaming) techmarine, and dreadnoughts. Fast attack: some assault marines to which i will be adding more. and infantry: some crusader squad material, including neophytes, and the only rhino i have so far.

oh, and 1 question, how do you get a clean white over a Chaos Black primer spray?

i usually have to paint on a few layers of it to be a full white color, for it not to appear grayish. Like shoulders i always have to paint over probably a good three times usually.

how did you change the head on the black reach guy??

just chopped it off, shaved down the bottom of a regular head, the rounded part, and glued it on.

I usually paint a layer of astronomican grey as a basecoat followed by as much whitee layers to get it white

but if you want am more withered white it's better to use dheneb stone

2 (Q) . icons came ofter with every set... with icons and decals came? i have only buyed package from black assult set with 5 guys and they don't have some decals you can put on becuse they was already there.

@RepublicCustoms another way is by 1st starting out with a layer of codex grey then bleached bone then a couple of layers of skull white
