While in South Africa we were driving down the road and a herd of elephants were coming up the road in the opposite direction. We backed up on the other side of a T-junction and parked (seen in the first clip). In this clip, you see the male bull playing with the road marker at the top of the T-junction. What you do not see is the van that was parked down the stem of the T-junction. After a few moments, you will see a younger elephant walking down the road who decides to walk down the stem of the T-junction. If you watch carefully, you will notice the younger elephant loose the rhythm of its step, and, although you can not see the van, it was the owner of the van starting their van and driving off that startled the younger elephant. Next, you will see the bull elephant walk toward the stem of the T-junction where the van was parked, but the van was driving off, so our car was the only one around. So, the bull elephant approached us.
