Aznavour - Yes Ko Ghimetn Chim Gidi - Sayat Nova

www.vickisms.com ..... Learning French was desirable for me but difficult before the invention of the internet. Now that I'm translating my favorite 200 Aznavour songs to French, I finally learned that Desormais is an angry, bitter song. I used to think it's a happy one because of it's upbeat tempo. One of the main reasons why I wanted to learn French was to understand Aznavour's lyrics. Even though I'm Armenian, I consider him to be a French singer. I'm grateful for France for giving us room to prosper in their country and contribute. This one Armenian song though is a cherry on top of Aznavour's repertoire.

I consider Charles Aznavour to be a gift to the world from France and Armenian immigrants. Without those 2 contributors, I think Aznaovur would not have developed to the poet, songwriter, actor, singer, writer, diplomat, writer and humanitarian that he is. If he were Assyrian, with what the Turks did to them, I think he would have been just the same, so enjoy his work, and there is no reason to make Assyrians angry with your preferences. I try to be a good Armenian, and you be a good Assyrian

You are correct, but I was not trying to make a political video. I wanted to show Aznavour's attachments to Armenia, and these are the photos I found. I believe Aznavour is one of the best examples on how an Armenian should conduct himself in the diaspora. He contributed to both his geographical country and to his ancestral homeland. May the politics sort itself out with the Armenian genius that allows us win the chess championships year after year, and God's grace.

@Pahlevuni - My dear friend, this song was written about 250 years ago by Sayat Nova, the greatest Armenian gusans (ashugs). He had been living in Tiflis (Georgia). So, it is not modern Eastern Armenian language

What dialect of Armenian is this??? I am Persian and I'm learning some Eastern Armenian but this is hard for me to understand, yet it is filled with Persian words! Even more than eastern armenian!
