My friend and I went on a hike known as The Lemon Squeeze. It was really amazing. Here is what we saw and experienced.

Rhinecliff is way out of the way I live in New Paltz and if your coming from the city you can take a bus from Penn station straight into New Paltz on adirondack Trailways. if you take the train get off at Poughkeepsie then cab to NP,The Lemon Squeeze at Mohonk Mountain House is probably a 15.00 cab ride up the mountain from New Paltz and there is a taxi company at the bus station.Monhonk is a beautiful hotel and place to visit where many movies have been filmed including parts of dirty dancing.

Oh man, I just went on this hike today. its pretty tough, but definitaly worth it.

I love the lemon squeeze. It is more than just a hike, it's an adventure! Not for wimps, thats for sure.

If you want an even better view from the top with less people, hike Gertrude's Nose from Minnewaska. No scrambling, but definitely less populated!

If you take the metro to Poughkeepsie or Rhinecliff that would get you closer, but you would probably have to get a cab to get there. It's not by any train stations that I am aware of. It's probably one and half to two hours away...but worth the trip
