Silent Hill 5: Homecoming - Enemy Combat Strategy: Lurker

Since I couldn't find any strategies against the enemies in SH5 that satisfied me, I decided to take matters into my own hand.
Here's a way to defeat Lurkers without losing ANY health at all:

Lurkers are really the easiest opponents in the whole game (except maybe the swarm...). That is, if you don't fight them 'fair' ;)
If you encounter a lurker, just equipt the knife and close the distance between the two of you (beware of them trying to hump you!). Then just tab the X-button (360) or Square (PS3). Thats all. This attack is strong enough to stun them and quick enough to stop them from countering.
Just turn off your flashlight when you hear one of them and YOU will be the one lurking in the shadows :p

the lurker dies faster against an axe, all i do is dodge once and swing and its head comes right off

All I use when I play is the knife. It's the fastest, so nothing can really attack you... the only time I use another weapon is against Siams and Smogs
