  • Actually you are incorrect. The stove can collapse to 5" However, it has a patented heat chamber that burns fuel up to 3X more efficiently than ANY other stove. It is also the ONLY tri-fuel stove available. Wood, Charcoal or Propane; it's your choice.

  • I just received one for Christmas. I can't wait to try it out!

  • Why not just build a fire?

  • very impressed.' can i buy one in england?.

  • @pseudotruth Yeah, actually I can. I just got word from CSA that is one of the cleanest burning stoves they have ever seen. When the entire CSA process is done (which I dont see the Lucia stove doing) I will post the comments from CSA on the website.

  • @BarnabasFrid hard to imagine, isnt it. :)

  • Gee. I wonder what their website is.

  • The fact that the Volcano features a damper, indicates that incomplete combustion will occur. Surely, in an emergency, maximum fuel efficiency is the watch-word. Incomplete combustion is the enemy of efficiency. Why waste fuel, when waste isn't necessary? Or is that the American way?

  • 'Volcano stoves are the most efficient ...stoves on the market today' - Would you backup that marketing-speak with figures?

Because whether it's fuel-efficiency, combustion efficiency, or energy efficiency, it is unlikely. Figures please.

  • Must have one of these!

  • the Japanese need these stoves, there is plenty of wood debris that could be used for fuel

  • @VolcanoStove The people at WorldStove are currently in Haiti, volunteering in refuge camps that need stoves for cooking and sterilizing drinking water. Give them some time.

Again, I am sure the Volcano is great, but my scientific background makes the 3X claim hard to believe. By the way, you two are in different markets.

If I get my hands on a Volcano, I'll be glad to build a Lucia type stove of similar capacity and test them both, although I cannot produce one as efficient as WorldStove.
