I'd say it's melodic enough, but I think this might be a live recording. It sounds live.

It's not about the text. It's about the melody. What the singer sings, is not melodic. In the original it is. That's a pity, because the music is good, but not the singing.

Cruel? What, you mean when he says "there is nothing that we can do"? That's in the original too. It basically just means that if there's nothing we can do to change a bad situation, we might as well just relax and wait for things to get better on their own.
