@everett270 that is true, but the timing is also advanced above a certain rpm, you get that crazy vtec noise no matter what exhaust is fitted :)

@jordfezza09 The other guy was right, it is a valve opening in the exhaust. Once a certain rpm and load is met, the valve opens to bypass the cats. The valves shut at low RPM for emissions.
