The Clown was filmed on location in Bridlington across three days in October, 2003. It was re-written the following March, adding a new plot twist with two new characters. Reshoots commenced in the first week of April, 2004. The following are a compilation of original, deleted and alternate scenes from shooting.
The Last Laugh - The original ending, in which Katie destroys the Laughing Clown, hoping it breaks the curse.
Telling Tales - An early draft of when Katie tells Robert she met a boy on the beach who told her about the Laughing Clown.
Coming Home at Dark - An alternate and early draft of when Katie tells her brother about the Laughing Clown, and comes back to find an empty lodge... or is it?
Chasing Katie - An alternate take on Katie and Robert's second chase scene.
Exploring the Cabin - An earlier draft of the scene where Katie explores the strange womans lodge.
