Anna Moffo es una soprano superior, una Violetta extraordinaria, a mi gusto la mejor Violetta que he escuchado y además una belleza de mujer, también decir que Bonisolli es un tenor impresionante.

could it be that you felt it the most precisely because you participated? A spectator would judge differently.

Nope. Even if I hadn't participated, I always prefer complex layering of voices, swelling, and multiple perspectives/emotions in the lyrics to (mostly) solo pieces. This is very beautiful indeed, but it's harmonies that really get me going.

I have to agree: my favorite too..the Act II finale also is breathtaking..but here she captures the 'supremo sacrificio' of an already sick but still lively and vivrant woman who renounces the love of her man:her 'addio' is devastating..the finale of act II is probably more moving because we all know that she is 'mutata' :she is about to die.I have to say that 'Parigi o cara' also breaks my heart because it rekindles some hope but it's here that VIOLETTA is'mutata':not her looks but her soul!
