TEDxHunterCCS - Kyle Baker - The Care of the Future is Mine

Kyle Baker©, HS '83, is the greatest cartoonist of all time™. He has bestowed his gifts upon such fortunate institutions as Disney, Warner Brothers, DreamWorks, Marvel and DC Comics. Kyle's cartoons have appeared in such publications as The New Yorker, The New York Times, Rolling Stone and National Lampoon. Kyle has authored 16 graphic novels,
including Nat Turner, Why I Hate Saturn, Plastic Man, The Bakers: Babies and: Do These Toys Belong Somewhere? Baker currently produces the monthly comic book series Deadpool Max. Baker illustrated Birth of a Nation, a graphic novel, and co-created Truth, illustrating the WWII story of the first Black Captain America. He has been awarded the comic
book industry's highest honors, The Harvey and The Eisner Awards.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDxevents are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
