MCA youth chief Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong will have to wait until May 6 to know whether the High Court will grant him an injunction to restrain Robert Phang and Star Publications (M) Berhad from further publishing alleged defamatory statements linking him to the Port Klang Free Zone (PKFZ) scandal.

Judicial Commissioner Dr Prasad Sandosham Abraham set May 6 for the decision after both parties completed their submissions on Wee's application.

On Feb 9, Wee filed a defamation suit naming Phang, a Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) advisory committee member, and the publisher of the English daily as defendants over four articles published between Dec 25, 2009 and Jan 12, 2010.
