mmmmkaaayyyyy. . . I assume because he is mixing only 1 gram of Koh to 1 litre of water that accuracy is extremely important? That was a rhetorical question by the way. He failed to balance the scale and since his bowl is in a weighted position and not in a balanced or even a lifted position he will get less than what he needs. This will throw off his titration solution then his tests on biodiesel possibly ruining large batches of fuel

In more advanced chemistry I tihnk you will find they can be used up.

I wish people would not called K OH a catalyst. It is not, since catalysts are conserved in a chemical reaction and in this case the K OH is used up.
