@tingmarco1 You make a very valid point here, the best thing is to feed your own honey. If you use shop bought honey then yes it can cause really nasty diseases. Thanks for your comments on this.

Thanks for feeding with honey! Corn syrup and sugar water is not so good. Honey is their best medicine!

@poprocz Hey nice one, I hope they do pull through. How are your bees doing
-
If I had done this last winter maybe I wouldn't have loss two hives to starvation.
Smart move on your part.

@crystalskullmother You are quite right there. My bees normally do not need feeding as they get to keep all they will need. But the trouble was that they did not gather enough as I got them late in the season as swarms. I should have fed them then, but there was no time with all the others needing my attention. I could not let them starve however ones I realized the situation. ;)

That is a very nice vid, but I don't believe in feeding in winter at all. The bees should take care of themselves otherwise they'll never survive.

feeding them with sugar water will sometimes be a good feed

@tingmarco1 Sometimes, If you really have no other choice then I would go for it too. But really only as a last resort. Sugar has nothing in it. The only reason bees can eat it is because of this fact. It gives energy but no nutrients. Honey on the other hand is their food and is good for them. Thank you for making your comment. :)
