Martin Luther King, Jr. (15 de janeiro de 1929 - 4 de abril de 1968) foi um padre americano, ativista e líder destacado no Africano-americano dos direitos civis movimento. Seu principal legado foi o de garantir progressos em matéria de direitos civis nos Estados Unidos e ele é freqüentemente referenciado como um ícone dos direitos humanos hoje. Um ministro Batista [1], King se tornou um ativista dos direitos civis no início de sua carreira.
