Fix black screen of death in Vista

I figured out how to fix the black screen you get in vista laptops were it gives you a black screen and lockes up. were the only solution is to hard boot.

ppl who have the blackscreen of death cant get into windows via normal or safe mode so how are thye going to change these setting you moron....

@ProjectZro i still play sro but i have this problem...the monitor goes says "Power saving mode " but the PC doesn`t shut down...maybe in sleep mode, can u help me please ?:)

So, let me get this clear. When I cannon start Windows Vista because of the Black Screen of Death, I have to make some power setting changes from inside Windows Vista.

And then you tell me that if this doesn't fix it, it's a hardware fault and should go back to the manufacturer. I managed to fix this with the extreme method of formatting. NO HARDWARE FAULT.
