Advanced Induction 230/238 LT1 Trans Am acceleration video

I was on a back road and wanted to get a quick clip of the acceleration of the new setup. It's got a Moser 12 bolt with 4.10s out back. It pulls pretty hard for a cam only car.

nice pull but what have u done for a better oil pump drive gear?

@sean55719 The pump is a melling select but when I assembled I put the stock drive gear back in. It's what I had and its what was in the budget. The cam itself has the upgraded gear drive from advanced induction.

@sean55719 ok. whats so upgraded on the gear drive tho..mine eats the hell outta it after 1000 miles im just confused on it noone seems to have this gear everytime i search i just get ppl tellin storys on the fourms. so the a.i. cam is different metal than my hotcam?

@sean55719 The cam itself assumably is a trade specific composite of metal. As for the gear drive I believe they do use a different material on the camshafts gears to prevent long term wear. If you're talking about the wear on the cam itself to the blank that drives the oil pump mine is stock. Doesn't chew them up, I've actually rarely heard about those being chewed up. I guess I'm not understanding specifically what you are asking.

nice lt-1 or ls-1 me and my dad are in the process of building a 01 ss and we tok our heads to advanced inductions they do awesome work

@bigboy14100 It's an LT1 car. Advanced induction definitely do awesome work, they can make those LS motors scream with little work.

@LT1BlkTrnsAm Yeah a couple of my buddys have some LS powered cars (times yet to come, later on this summer) but I figured I can eather go get a LSX car and maybe a few mods or a nice LTX car and more mods. Eather way both seem like great engines and theres lots of aftermarket for both. If I got a LTX car I'm going to get a set of AI heads and a hefty cam at some point but probably just bolton's/gears and a stall if its auto for this year for eather car. I'm startin to look for 1 now

@steelcityracer1320 You'll almost always find an LT based Trans Am for cheaper then an LS but make no mistake you will always go further faster modifying an LS based engine. They come with such better heads and intake setups it's hard to ignore the amount of power they make with just a cam. My buddy has an LS based Trans Am that went 12 flats with just a cam so they do run. I like the LT platform cause its what I have and I can make it work for me.
