Planned Parenthood of New York City offered women free abortions as a response to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center. Pro-life groups insisted, however, that the offer amounted to exploitation. "It's outrageous that they think they would be helping hurting women by killing their babies," said J.T. Finn, editor-in-chief of LoveMatters.com, a publication of Pro-Life America in Redondo Beach, Calif. The Rev. Frank Pavone, a Roman Catholic priest who advises Pro-Life America, wrote in a promotional letter that "while churches and non-profit groups rushed spiritual help, medical aid, food and funds to the victims, Planned Parenthood was bringing more death into their lives." Pavone, noting media reports, said the number of young, single pregnant girls may have increased sharply because of the terrorist attacks. Planned Parenthood of New York City said its health centers were booked to capacity during the time of the offer, Sept. 18 to 29. A group called Stop Planned Parenthood, or STOPP International, accused PPNYC of trying "to garner some cheap publicity during this time of national crisis." The Virginia-based pro-life group noted that during the refugee crisis in Kosovo, Planned Parenthood provided refugees with emergency contraception, the so-called morning-after pill, which drew criticism from the Vatican because the pills often are abortive. "Does anyone suppose a baby going through a partial birth abortion, or a saline abortion, or a suction abortion at a Planned Parenthood clinic suffers any less terror than did the victims of September 11?" STOPP asked in the January issue of its publication, "The Ryan Report."

@HolyknightVader999 Numbers 31: 15-17 condones murdering women who had pre-marital sex. Obviously some of them would have been pregnant. That verse is about born children choosing to follow God on their own instead of being converted. It has nothing to do with the unborn.

@vgman94 Actually, that is because even from the start Israelis hate babies formed outside of wedlock. Case and point, Ishmael, Abraham's first son, by a hooker. When Sarah had her legit child, she banished them, and God promised Abraham He will take care of the child. And yet Jesus says the following about Children: “Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God." Mark 10:13.

Never did the Bible say murder fetuses born out of wedlock.

@HolyknightVader999 Numbers 5: 11-31 still says if a woman if pregnant with another man's child, her "bellly will swell and her thigh will rot", but if she is pure, she shall conceive. She obviously menas the metaphor by her thigh rotting is abortion. Quit getting so desperate. Face it, even God knows fetuses aren't human beings or equal to us.

@HolyknightVader999 Wrong. It's human, not a human being. There is a clear difference. My hair and nails are human, but they're not beings. Not even God would take away? Exodus 21: 22-23, Numbers 5: 11-31 and most of all, Hosea 13-16 don't agree Hosea says: "Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up". Clearly God doesn't care about fetuses.

@vgman94 Um, it's not just a living organism, it is also a human being. As fetuses, they are potential human lives, and even the bodies and minds of these women treat it as such. Which is why, after an abortion, some women claim to hear their dead fetuses' calls and the crying of the dead. Because it is a human life that deserves human rights.

Being "wanted" doesn't make a fetus more special than another. ALL fetuses, all unborn children have rights that not even God would take away.

And women, being sentient beings with emotions and the ability to suffer are far more superior than a mindless lump of flesh, retard. In a metaphorical example, my wife would be more important than my "child", which is a fetus. For all the aforementioned reasons. Get a biology class, please.
